Texas Mile March 2024: 186.7 MPH

ANOTHER NEW EV RECORD!

With our new tail, Team Speed Hertz put together a near perfect run to once again achieve our fastest-ever speed in a standing mile, increasing our own 180.5MPH record to 186.7MPH. Based on these results, we believe she’s 200 MPH capable at Bonneville. Stay tuned for more updates as we prep for our next event, the Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials 2024.

BONNEVILLE 2021: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Team Speed Hertz is a group of graduate engineers, motorcycle enthusiasts, and racers from the great state of Texas who designed and constructed an electric motorcycle built for speed. With this bike, we set national records in the AMA Land Speed Grand Championship at the Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials in September 2021.

BONNEVILLE 2022 and 2023: CANCELLED

Heavy rains flooded Speed Week in 2022 and 2023 and left the salt in no condition for land speed racing. Unfortunately, this also caused the cancellation of the 2022 and 2023 Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials.
